At Generation Church we believe everyone needs community; therefore, every believer needs to find a church they can call home. This should be a place where we’re loved just as we are but encouraged to become all that we can be. In this church home we discover the community that helps connect us to God and other people through bonds of friendship and love. Too often churches become just vendors of religious services for do-it-yourself Christians. They may offer a vast array of programs and activities, but they lack the one thing that can truly transform the people who walk through their doors—genuine Christian community.
Ultimately, we do not believe it is possible to set out to find community. That would imply that somewhere “out there” exists this perfect Christian utopia if we can just find it. This leaves us moving from church to church in search of the “perfect church”. We don’t believe that it’s possible to find the “perfect church” but instead we are striving together to build a church made up of imperfect people committed to one another in Christian love and fellowship.
